Bangalore Aquarium, Karnataka
One of the most fascinating attractions of Karnataka, Bangalore Aquarium is located in Cubbon Park on the Kasturba Road. This aquarium, inaugurated in 1983, is acclaimed to be the second largest in India and receives hundreds of visitors every day. The octagonal building of the aquarium has three floors and houses an incredible variety of freshwater fishes, both exotic and indigenous, including angel fish, red tail shark, Indian tiger bar, gold fish, Siamese fighters, glow light tetra, blue gourami, freshwater prawns and many more. 14 and 69 tanks are placed on the first floor and second floor respectively. Here similar habitat is provided to fishes which these are accustomed to.
