Bull Temple, Karnataka
Bull Temple in Basavanagudi is among the most ancient temples of Bangalore. This temple is unique as it is dedicated to Nandi, the bull. It is considered to be built in 1537 A.D. by Kempe Gowda and has a huge statue of the bull as well, which is 5 meters high and 6 meters in length. Made from a single block of granite stone, this image is believed to be older that this temple itself. The temple sits prominently on the top of Bungle Hill and can be easily reached from Bangalore city through various transport options, like buses and taxis.
