A gorgeous remnant of the Mughal’s, Lower Lake which is also known as Chota Talaab, is situated in the serene environs of Bhopal. Surrounded by splendid hills and estranged from the gigantic upper lake by an over-bridge, it is a beauty and one cannot keep his eyes away from it.
To beautify the city, Lower Lake was created in the year 1794 and was custom-built by a minister of the great Nawab Hayat Muhammad Khan Bahadur, named Chote Khan. It was put up by merging numerous wells, which charmed its magnificence and gave Bhopal the title “City of Lakes”. In its surroundings you can witness the fine-looking Kamala garden that enhances its aesthetic appeal. Along with this, remarkable architectural wonders and settlements on all its sides increase the exquisiteness of this pond.
For tourists, numerous adventurous and exciting activities are offered, like sailing within the pond or one can enjoy motor boat rides and get pleasure from its captivating environs.
