Surrounded by lush greenery, sparkling fountains and abundance of rich vegetation is an attractive white structure, Chowmahalla Palace. Once considered as the central hub for tourism in Hyderabad, this eminent piece of architecture mostly remained under the rule of Asaf Jahi dynasty. It was a place where all the Nizams welcomed their royal guests and visitors.
Constructed over 200 years ago, the Palace still manages to maintain its charm and reminds one about the times when princes and princesses used to live. It’s unique architectural design, with marble flooring and walls, mirror finished polish and beautiful use of royal artifacts uplifts its elegance and lures thousands of visitors all round the year.
Presently the palace is under the supervision of local governing body and is looked after by the Tourism Department of Hyderabad. Today it serves as a party hall and a venue for corporate affairs or is used for celebrating any big occasions in the city.
