Situated in the flat Gangetic plains, the city has well linked roads, which connects it to all major towns of Uttar Pradesh and other neighboring cities of Varanasi. The national highway NH 2, NH9 and the NH 7 highway, ply frequent buses that link this holy land to Kolkata, Delhi, and Gorakhpur.
