Far from the troublesome chaos of the busy city life, Kasauli has a wide range of things for each and every traveler. Though there are no regular trains from the major cities to Kasauli, the closest rail head is Sonwara in Kalka, which is situated 40km away from Kasauli. Kalka is very well connected with all major cities in India like Amritsar, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. From the station, you can hire a bus or a taxi to get to Kasauli.
Kasauli does not have its own airport. The closest airport is at Chandigarh, which is at a distance of 70 km form Kasauli. The airport is connected by regular flights to Mumbai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Bangalore, Srinagar, Kolkata and Indore. International travelers can get connection flights from Delhi International airport, which is nearly 300 km away from Kasauli. Taxis are available from airport to Kasauli, at a reasonable fare.
Kasauli has good road links to a number of towns in northern India, including Shimla, Chandigarh, Delhi, with frequent state owned transport buses that connect Kasauli to many cities in and around Himachal Pradesh. Though Kasauli does not have its own bus stand, tourists can avail bus service from the nearest bus stand i.e. Parwanoo. Super fast and super deluxe buses make a stop at Kasauli as well.
