Geyzing - the king’s Garden
Situated at a height of about 6500 feet above the sea level, Geyzing is a picturesque little town with some of the best attractions enclosed within its vicinity. The capital of the west Sikkim district, Geyzing is also the district headquarters of Sikkim. Lying across the majestic Himalayan ranges and the Rangeet River, this place offers good connectivity to various places across the country and can be visited by tourists at any time of the year.
Even today the town is mostly populated by Nepalese populace and their prime language Nepali is the only mode of communication among locals. The beautiful structure is located at an altitude of around 2085 meters. You can see huge influx of Buddhist pilgrims, who often visit this place, thus making it one of the main attractions in Geyzing.
This place has great association with its past and has still managed to preserve the ruins of the Chogyal Kingdom, thus giving the tourists an opportunity to revive the era that persisted here. In addition to this, around 10kms away from Geyzing, there is small town called Pelling, which serves as a perfect tourism spot.
