BHUNTAR- Gateway to Kullu

Situated at a height of 2050 M above the sea level, town of Bhuntar lies in the district of Kullu. Having a glorious history, this small town is of great religious and historical importance. According to a legend, Manu who is considered to be the founder of civilization established a council for the Hindu Gods and these gods were responsible for commanding the people.


Considered to be an important place, there are various attractions that can be visited here. Some of the well known attractions are Bijli Mahadev Temple and Jagan Nath Temple. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Bijli Mahadev Temple is one of the most beautiful buildings which are located in the city. Kullu, a hill station, is located at a distance of 10 km from Bhuntar and is a must watch place while on a trip to the city.
