BHARATPUR- The land blessed with nature’s extravagance

Eastern Gateway to Rajasthan, Bharatpur is an important tourist destination. Built by the reigning king, Maharaja Suraj Mal, in 1733 this ancient city was named after King Bharat, brother of Lord Rama. The national park at Bharatpur is famous all over the world and tourists from different parts of the world visit it to view different species of birds which are present here. This place houses more than 375 varieties of birds that can be viewed in their wilderness. Some of the birds which can be easily spotted are widgeons, pintails, gadwalls and red crested pochards.

Climate of this region remains within comfortable range all around the year, but the best time to mark a visit is from the month of October till the month of March, as this is considered as an ideal period for watching birds.
